Job Summary
How you will make an impact:
You will be responsible for supporting experienced technicians with vehicle diagnostics and repairs. Your duties will include performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. You will use a variety of hand and power tools to carry out repairs efficiently and safely. Additionally, you will assist the team in completing and maintaining pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to ensure vehicles meet quality standards.
As a 2nd year Automotive Apprentice Mechanic, you will:
- Assisting in inspections, repairs, and maintenance of vehicles.
- Performing regular maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and tune-ups.
- Taking vehicles for test drives to identify problems and ensure the effectiveness of the repair work.
- Using tools such as wrenches, pliers, and diagnostic equipment to find and repair mechanical issues.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Keeping up-to-date records of the work performed and parts used, assisting in inventory management.
- Assisting in inventory management and ensuring clear communication with the Mechanic and the customer.
