Job Summary

As a Registered Dietician, you will:

  • Develop and execute nutrition and wellness programs, promotions, and campaigns to make it easy for students, faculty and guests to make healthier food choices. This includes weekly campus pop-up educational booths to engage students on wellness/nutrition/sustainability. 
  • Responsible for providing on-site marketing with social media posts to engage campus community regarding nutrition, wellness and sustainability education and promotion of events. 
  • Report on nutrition and wellness related programs, activities, goals/KPIs and effectively communicate outcomes to key target audiences at the unit. 
  • Support the dining needs of students with specific dietary restrictions or sensitivities. 
  • Complete nutritional assessments and nutritional care plans for students. Identify students at nutritional risk and prioritize accordingly.
  • Execute and advance components of campus dining programs to ensure that the school is a showcase for nutrition and wellness programing, execution, and engagement. 
  • Supporting students and Chartwells operations, as needed, on nutrition and wellness related requests. 
  • Support campus groups, i.e. School of Nutrition with educational support for student projects or class lectures. 
  • Ensure food outlets have the proper signage and communication to support dietary preferences and requirements
  • Support plant-based menu creating and reporting
  • Monitor daily Quality Assurance station logs for accuracy in reporting and completion.

About you:

  • Current professional registration with the College of Dietitians.
  • Sound knowledge of geriatric nutrition care.
  • A thorough knowledge of government legislation in relevant domain.
  • A thorough knowledge of food service methods, materials and equipment used in quantity food preparation and serving.
  • A sound knowledge of Food Service sanitary and safety standards
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise staff effectively
  • A general knowledge of government legislation in labor, health and safety, employment, and human rights
  • An ability to work within budget guidelines
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
