Job Summary
The Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for overseeing quality programs in more than one remote site. This individual will drive continuous improvement of quality related programs while working as a member of the Risk Management, HSEQ support team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- In general, the role is responsible for leading HSEQ, quality related projects with a broad range of scope, complexity, and stakeholders. Stakeholders may range from HSEQ team members to Operations leadership.
- Conduct safety and quality related inspections regularly
- Verification and validation of corrective action responses
- Measure and report on audit compliance and trending analysis
- Identify improvement opportunities in existing HSEQ processes/programs.
- Develop and implement programs by writing procedures, testing them in units
- Act as lead for external audit programs including ISO 22000, HACCP, client inspections, etc
- Remain up to date on food safety related regulations, legislation and requirements
- Responsible for document control of food safety related resources
Education and Experience:
- College Diploma or Post Graduate degree in Food Science or related
- A bachelor or master’s degree in public health, food safety or a related discipline, or certified CP-FS preferred
- Minimum 3 years experience in and formal certification in project management, Six Sigma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience in a QA leadership role or equivalent.
- Hands on knowledge of FSSC 22000, HACCP, BRC, or like
