Job Summary

Now, if you were to come on board as a General Manager, we’d ask you to do the following for us:

  • Supervises and coordinates janitorial and food services.
  • Supervise services regarding buildings, equipment, janitorial, and grounds maintenance.
  • Implements all maintenance and general procurement of sub-contractor services and food services, schedules installations and oversees that such repairs are accomplished in a safe and timely manner.
  • Procure sub-contractor services, schedule installations, and oversee repairs.
  • Implement preventative programs per site-specific systems, equipment, and building maintenance.
  • Ensure implementation of safety regulations and programs.
  • Maintain records for equipment inspections, rotational work assignments, and overtime allowances.
  • Manage budgetary needs, monitor expenditures, and take corrective action when needed.
  • Develops, evaluates, or reviews plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities; assesses feasibility of proposals.
  • Evaluate operations for quality and effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Review financial reports, recognize variations, and provide corrective actions to achieve budget.
  • Ensure that all legislative requirements are met, involving construction, installation, fire, safety and sanitation.
  • Ensure that all the services provided excel in performance standards and meet all customer expectations.

  • Degree/Diploma/Designation in engineering, business administration, or property management, but may be substituted by progressive equivalent job experience. 
  • Minimum experience should be at least 5 to 7 years of supervision in the operation of a commercial or institutional facility.
  • Knowledge and experience of facilities management, including: heating, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, equipment, janitorial, and information technology.
  • Proven experience in project management, procurement, contracts, bids, and quotes.
  • Provide leadership in financial planning, stewardship, analysis and forecasting. 
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
