Job Summary

The salary range for this position is $64,000 to $66,000. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be entitled to other elements of total compensation, which may include group benefits and employer RRSP contributions, where applicable to the role. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. Further details regarding our total rewards program will be shared by the Talent Acquisition team during the hiring process. Canadian work experience is not a requirement for this role. Now, if you were to come on board as our Operations, Procurement Manager, we’d ask you to do the following for us:

  • Reporting directly to the Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day for 10 Business Snack Stations, 6 Coffee Corners and 2 Hydration Stations at the campus
  • This role manages prepared foods merchandising only, there will be no cooking of any kind
  • You will handle all phases of purchasing and planning menu item rotation, operation planning, budget management, maintaining proper inventory levels, maintaining equipment repairs and maintenance
  • Responsible for training of associates, scheduling and supervising, creating and upholding SOPs as well as addressing and resolving employee relation issues
  • The position will ensure the unit has strict compliance with the Compass Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Program, Occupational Health & Safety; Safety Act and WHMIS regulations. Smart Serve certification will be required
  • Ensuring all temperature and Health & Safety Log Records are accurately filled in on a daily basis
  • Creatively apply local, trendy food items and presentations to micro kitchen operations
  • Inspire, motivate, and engage staff to prioritize excellent customer service and hospitality
  • Work closely with facilities, and other key stakeholders to ensure a flawless in office experience

  • 2 years of management experience of medium to large team
  • A detail-oriented individual and strong leadership skills
  • Purchasing experience required
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Retail merchandising skills an asset
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Hospitality oriented personality
  • Advanced computer skills. Proficiency in Google systems
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Experience managing in Unionized environment
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet frequent deadlines
