Job Summary
Bilingual Marketing and Communications Manager
The Bi-lingual Marketing and Communications Manager will support Foodbuy’s go to market strategy with both internal and external communication initiatives in both English and French. You will develop strategic content and communication campaigns to promote Foodbuy and vendor initiatives and support internal and culture-forward communications within the Foodbuy team and you will take the lead on managing Foodbuy’s external and internal websites.

Responsibilities:
• Translation: Ability to produce and effectively translate written materials, ads, presentations, etc., from English to French, articulating the nuances of the Foodbuy brand in French
• Website Management: Updating content, posting publications, creation of simple landing pages, on-going review and improvements to the user experience & SEO, on both external and internal websites, English and French versions of the sites. Working with an agency, maintain a minimum 80% accessibility score
• Content and Content Calendar: On-going ideation, population, and management in alignment with the needs of key stakeholders (including Members, Compass units, suppliers, partners and Foodbuy strategic initiatives). Create and maintain in conjunction with inputs from the Media Guide and vendor priorities. Conduct research, interviews, and collaborate with partners and internal experts to create compelling content that reinforces Foodbuy’s leadership position in the foodservice and hospitality procurement space
• Marketing Initiatives: Work with and act as a liaison with internal stakeholders and external partners including other Foodbuy and Compass departments, vendors, industry associations and experts to plan, produce, execute and measure strategic marketing initiatives to meet Foodbuy objectives
• Measurement: Monitor, evaluate, and report on department and industry activities; make recommendations based on findings/opportunities discovered.
Requirements and Skills
• BSc/MSc degree in Marketing or related field or Bachelor’s degree in journalism, strategic communications, or equivalent with a minimum five years of communications or marketing experience.
• Fully bilingual in both written and spoken French and English with proficiency in translating communications, marketing and sales materials.
• Versatile copywriting skills in English and French.
• Website Maintenance including proficiency in WordPress to update content following AODA compliance principles and apply solid SEO practices. Possesses a solid understanding of website analytic tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
• Experience with content creation, posting, community management and related analytics.
• Ability to manage cross functional projects to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, Power Point). Understanding of and experience with Microsoft Dynamic, Teams, SharePoint and email marketing platforms.
• Ability to analyze metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing and communication activities and make data-driven recommendations and decisions.
• Understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and applications, particularly in the context of marketing and communication strategies.
