Job Summary

About the Role:

The Hourly Supervisor will oversee weekend delivery operations, focusing on team management, operational efficiencies, fleet safety, and dealing with time sensitive matters. This leadership role ensures exceptional customer service and adherence to safety and company policies in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Supervise and lead weekend delivery team members, providing guidance and support to optimize performance and efficiency.

· Communicate daily delivery plans and strategies clearly to the team and facility escorts, emphasizing labor cost.

· Assist team members with issues or complaints professionally and respectfully.

· Ensure Lead Hands complete accurate operational reports.

· Train new employees on Canteen and company vehicle policies.

· Conduct Saturday morning huddles to discuss operational concerns and business updates.

· Manage vehicle and company phone sign-out, ensuring compliance with safety and MTO regulations.

· Rotation between Saturday client facility and work Sunday.

· Monitor and enforce adherence to company time and attendance policies.

· Support staff performance management including coaching and participation in reviews.

· Participate in weekly virtual or onsite meetings to review deliveries, training, and updates.

· Uphold safety standards by participating in company safety training programs.

· Perform physical tasks including lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, walking, and climbing in/out of trucks.

· Be available to work double Canteen Holiday delivery shifts on statutory holidays when required.

· Resolve time sensitive canteen issues such as vehicle issues, staffing issues and canteen delivery delays

· Complete days end report to office, report issues concerns

 

Qualifications:

· 2-3 years of experience leading a team in a related environment.

· 2-3 years of customer service experience.

· Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

· Valid G-License with experience driving 16-foot cube trucks.

· Knowledge of MTO regulations and CVOR log reporting.

· Physically capable of performing job duties, including lifting and extended standing/walking.

· Proficient with mobile communication tools such as WhatsApp and Microsoft Teams.
