Title: Data Specialist, Power BI

Job Summary
The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be entitled to other elements of total compensation, which may include group benefits, employer RRSP contributions, and discretionary bonus or incentive programs, where applicable to the role. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. Further details regarding our total rewards program will be shared by the Talent Acquisition team during the hiring process. Canadian work experience is not a requirement for this role.Please note that artificial intelligence–based tools may be used at certain stages of the recruitment and applicant screening process.
Now, if you were to come on board as our Data Specialist, PowerBI, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Build data-driven narratives and case studies to help our HSQA metrics across all sectors via PowerBI
- Pull data and ad-hoc service reports for the Risk Department as well as for our leadership team
- Onboard new initiatives and projects and provide business training to help them maximize the value they get out of our platforms
- Developing strategies and plans for data management and systems and ensuring their effective implementation.
- Collect, clean, and analyze safety and compliance data, including audits and incidents.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to track performance and highlight risks.
- Developing and building reporting solutions and automating processes to support data-driven decision-making.
- Integrate data insights into safety protocols and improvement strategies.
- Support budget tracking, invoicing, and financial processes for safety programs.

- 4+ years of relevant work experience or combination of education and experience
- Passion for analyzing and exploring data
- Experience using data visualization software such as Power BI
- Experience developing and maintaining databases, data systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical mind-set
- Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet frequent deadlines
- Strong business acumen & professionalism
- Excellent computer skills and experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Experience in food safety, OH&S, or quality assurance is an asse
