Job Summary
We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to join the Foodbuy team as the Director, Strategic Development. This is a high-impact role and is responsible for driving growth, expanding our market presence, and shaping the future of our business.

- Partner with Leadership: Collaborate with executives to shape long-term growth strategies that secure competitive advantage.
- Innovative Strategy Development: Develop and execute high-impact strategies to drive business efficiency, unlock new revenue streams, and position Foodbuy Canada as an industry leader.
- Strategic Alignment: Implement change management strategies to ensure sustained and scalable business growth.
- Market Intelligence & Growth: Leverage market research to identify M&A, joint ventures, and partnerships that fuel growth and enhance competitive positioning.
- Strategic Partnerships: Develop and execute smooth engagement plans for M&A deals and partnerships.
- Process Excellence: Review existing and / or create new core business processes to increase operational efficiency, reduce risk, and improve quality of execution.
Think you have what it takes to be our Director, Strategic Development? We are committed to hiring the best talent for the role. Here is how we’ll know you are the best fit:
- 7+ years in Business Strategy, Management Consulting, Strategic Projects or similar role
- Proven success in driving enterprise strategies and collaborating across functions for business growth.
- Experience working with C-suite executives to implement high-level initiatives.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to conduct financial analysis to drive business outcomes.
- Track record of leading initiatives that expand market presence and revenue.
- Experience in M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
- Ability to lead and mentor high-performing teams.
- Exceptional communication skills, influencing internal and external stakeholders.
- Results focused with experience in delivering high-impact initiatives.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and leading innovation in dynamic environments
