Title: Health & Safety Systems Specialist (Contract)

Job Summary
The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $60,000. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be entitled to other elements of total compensation, which may include group benefits, employer RRSP contributions, and discretionary bonus or incentive programs, where applicable to the role. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. Further details regarding our total rewards program will be shared by the Talent Acquisition team during the hiring process. Canadian work experience is not a requirement for this role.Please note that artificial intelligence–based tools may be used at certain stages of the recruitment and applicant screening process.
This is a 6-month contract position.
Now, if you were to come on board as our Health and Safety Systems Specialist, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Act as the system administrator for the Risk Management and the Origami Risk platform, including user access management, role configuration, and permissions governance
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Origami content such as Incident Management, Claims, Audits, Inspections, Corrective Actions, and Training
- Lead system enhancements by translating business and operational health & safety needs into Origami workflows, forms, dashboards, and automation
- Develop and maintain standardized data taxonomies, fields, and validation rules to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness
- Monitor data quality and system performance, performing regular reviews to identify gaps, trends, and improvement opportunities
- Design and deliver Origami training, job aids, and user guides for site leaders, safety champions, and corporate users
- Provide multiple tier support for Origami users by troubleshooting issues, managing system tickets, and liaising with Origami vendor support as required
- Support integration of Origami with other enterprise tools (e.g., SharePoint, Power BI, Microsoft Forms, Power Automate) where applicable (suggested)
- Support internal and external audits by preparing system evidence, data extracts, and audit trails from Origami
- Stay current on Origami platform updates, industry trends, and digital H&S system best practices, recommending innovations were beneficial
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Claims, IT, CGC USA) to ensure Origami supports enterprise-wide risk management objectives

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with systems or customer service role
- Demonstrated experience supporting Safety Management Systems, including risk assessment and compliance activities
- Experience supporting audits, inspections, and regulatory or internal compliance processes considered an asset Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
- Familiarity with Power BI, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Canva
- Post-secondary Education Completed
- Ability to manage own work independently and effectively, by prioritizing work schedules and completing assigned duties within timelines
