Job Summary

Now, if you were to come on board as one of our Regional Operations Directors, we’d ask you to do the following for us:

  • Conduct operation audits of regional units to ensure conformance with the Company, government and accrediting agency standards, regulations and record keeping and design improvements to optimize financial performance and operational productivity 
  • Ensure adherence to company purchasing programs 
  • Observe condition of facility when visiting sites for quality control purposes and investigate complaints regarding unit operation, affecting satisfactory solutions
  • Develop realistic and accurate district/region forecasts and monitor development of realistic and accurate unit forecasts, then ensure that each unit's financial performance meets the Company and client forecasts 
  • Establish and maintain effective client and customer relations, identify client's needs, communicate unit progress, operations problems, and new Company programs to client 
  • Interpret financial reports for clients and document business content of client meetings 
  • Ensure that clients are aware of current applicable government regulations
  • Conduct and/or monitor customer, client and associate satisfaction surveys 
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines to promote their consistent application within the district
  • Participate in the sales process by working with the pre-proposal study teams, aid in presentations, prepare opening team schedules and coordinate/lead opening teams 
  • Conduct client negotiations, renegotiate unit contract and coordinate documentation of contract changes 
  • Ensure consistent and equitable administration of human resources policies, procedures, and guidelines to facilitate effective employee relations and support the preferred employer focus 
  • Audit performance appraisals and associates’ files and monitor Diversity action plans
  • Support recruiting for Operations and District Manager positions as required and assist the Operations Managers with new supervisory hires 
  • Identify district training requirements and develop and coach supervisory and manager associates to meet staffing and succession planning needs, as well as to ensure optimum utilization of district associates 
  • Plan and conduct district meetings, making full use of support staff as needed 
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws

  • 5+ years’ related experience and/or training in multi-unit responsibility; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Supervisory experience, preferably within a unionized environment
  • Ability to develop strong business relationships and an open line of communication with clients, colleagues and associates
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, as well as prepare and present effective PowerPoint presentations
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, employees, and clients
  • Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications and comfortable learning new applications
  • Ability to identify problems, collect and interpret data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to create and present quarterly and annual business reviews
  • Ability to understand, analyze and improve financial results within the region and within the reporting units
