Job Summary
This role is dedicated to one large client within the Facilities Management sector. The Senior Financial Analyst, Operations acts as a finance business partner, supporting both client deliverables and internal requirements. The successful candidate needs to be comfortable communicating with external clients and senior management. The position requires a high degree of attention to detail and strong accounting and Excel skills to ensure accuracy of financial reports. There is significant opportunity for leadership in this unique and highly visible role.
Now, if you were to come on board as a Senior Financial Analyst, Operations we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Act as a business partner to operations, supporting client deliverables including budgets, forecasts, monthly reports and ad hoc analysis
- Present financial information to the client and operations in a clear, concise and professional manner
- Ensure a high degree of accuracy in preparation of all financial reports. Strong Excel skills are required.
- Ensure that Accounts Payable invoices are charged to the correct business unit, and general ledger code
- Calculate annual performance compared to Key Performance Indicators outlined in the contract
- Ensure any material budget variances are identified early and escalated to operations/ finance manager as required
- Complete monthly variance analysis and present explanations to the client and internal team
- Maintain confidentiality of all company information, including policy and procedures
- Ensure contract compliance when preparing budgets, savings glidepaths, KPIs, etc.
- Continually review operational performance with the object of increasing efficiencies while maintaining a high standard of service
- Availability to attend in-person site visits within the GTA

- Bachelors degree in accounting/ finance or equivalent
- Accounting designation completed or in progress considered an asset
- A minimum of 3+ years of related work experience.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets
- Power BI skills are considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and ability to achieve timelines
- Experience with any major ERP / Accounting software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work closely with Internal/External Stakeholders in the US & Canada
- Knowledge of Construction/Facilities Business considered an asset
