Job Summary
The Sr. Sustainability Manager is responsible for executing on components of the Sustainability plan with a primary focus on supporting client sustainability communications and programs.
Now, if you were to come on board as a Sr. Sustainability Manager, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Support the delivery of our Sustainability plan that meets our Compass Group Planet Promise goals to achieve Net-Zero emissions by 2050.
- Key components of this plan include priorities to reduce our carbon footprint such as; food waste and packaging waste reduction, responsible sourcing and plant based dining.
- Understand clients’ business needs and goals and provide tailored recommendations and solutions.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization to drive effective programs and to pilot new innovations
- Drive the execution of multiple projects, supporting operations to remove obstacles that impact performance
- Prepare and deliver detailed client sustainability reports that outline KPIs, progress to targets, and opportunities for improvements or implementation of new initiatives
- Monitor and analyze client data and performance metrics.
- Support the development of RFPs and re-bids by providing insightful content aligned to client priorities
- Provide guidance and leadership to direct reports and act as a mentor to other team members through coaching and development.

- 5+ years of relevant work experience, project management or hospitality operations experience preferred
- A desire to drive change and make an impact
- Adaptable and a continuous learner
- Highly organized, results oriented with a proven ability to execute on projects with analytical/strategic thinking skills
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Proven experience in a customer success, account management, or customer support role
- Ability to communicate with all levels in an organization including senior leaders
- Influence without authority with the ability to manage up and across the organization
- Self-starter, proactive and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within and across teams
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
