The E-Commerce Manager for The Ottawa Senators will be responsible for overseeing all operations for online transactions and activities while assisting in the marketing plans and social media platforms. This includes managing online products and content, working with many departments to maintain marketing schedules and promotions, and making decisions to help drive the brand and deliver product on a timely basis. This position works hand in hand with the retail team to ensure all purchased merchandise is being promoted efficiently and accordingly throughout all sales channels.
Job Summary
Now, if you were to come on board as our E-Commerce Manager we’d ask you to do the following for us:
• Manage and update e-commerce website and ensure content is continuously refreshed
• Oversee the look, feel and design of the e-commerce website, including working with in-house developers to optimize for the best user experience
• Analyzes sales, customer data and prepare web sales reports to help drive e-commerce revenue and strategy
• Execute customer service policies and procedures that impact customer relationships
• Manage and oversee e-commerce product postings to ensure products are posted promptly and accurately
• Online merchandising to best present products and content
• Collaborate with e-commerce marketing team on plans & to ensure collateral is approved for production use
• Manage internal marketing media channel calendar (including social, traditional, etc.)
• Communicate internal promotions to respective departments to deliver seamless fulfillment
• Work cross departmentally and meet with internal and external partners to ensure all expectations have been met
• Establish a streamlined fulfilment operation process to ensure efficient order lead time & timely delivery
• Assist in other duties such as help with game day, events and other areas assigned by the Director of Retail Operations
Think you have what it takes to be our E-Commerce Manager? We’re committed to hiring the best talent for the role. Here’s how we’ll know you are the best fit:
• Shopify Pro/Advanced experience
• Understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript is preferred
• Promoting or managing e-commerce social channels
• 3-5 years of related work experience; experience in an e-commerce role required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill, including copywriting experience
• Ability to work independently to prioritize and complete work assignments, as well as in a team environment
• Highly organized with attention to detail, ability to prioritize workload and solve problems quickly
• Flexible with hours and availability including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to work long hours during special events
• Must be able to lift/move/push/pull items weighing 50lbs, and be able to twist and bend comfortably
• Ability to understand the basics of inventory management
