This position blends front-of-house leadership with behind-the-scenes coordination, ensuring seamless daily operations and exceptional guest experiences. Job Summary

How you will make an impact:
You will be responsible for overseeing the unit while working with the Manager and team to successfully manage residential dining operations.

As an Assistant Manager, you will:

  • Manage incoming emails and inquiries related to tournaments, team meals, and upcoming events.
  • Assist with the planning, communication, and execution of events to ensure operational success.
  • Oversee daily floor operations, maintaining high standards of table service and guest satisfaction.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for guest concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with staff scheduling, shift coverage, and coordination of front-of-house teams.
  • Support and guide servers and bartenders to promote efficiency, teamwork, and excellent service.
  • Monitor table turns, reservations, and overall service flow to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and service standards.
  • Communicate effectively with management, kitchen staff, and other departments regarding daily operations and special requests.
  • Execute menu requirements in line with Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and Compass Group Canada Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Champion HSQA standards (Health, Safety, Quality, Assurance) across all operations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely ordering and supply management.

About you:

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a restaurant, bar, or hospitality setting (preferred).
  • Ability to provide excellent judgment for problem-solving and strong arithmetic skills
  • A passion for Customer Service excellence
  • Detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid team player with an emphasis on customer service
  • Strong supervisory skills and the proven ability to motivate, lead and coach staff
  • Superior client relationship skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong proficiency in computer skills, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
  • Able to accommodate a flexible work schedule (including evenings and weekends)
