This is a 6 month temporary contract
Schedule : Monday to Friday
If you were to come on board as one of our Executive Chef of Long term Care, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Develop positive client relationships and ensure overall resident satisfaction with recipes and menu options.
- Demonstrate creativity with menus, while incorporating regional culinary selections and following Healthy Eating Guidelines.
- Follow all H&S policies and regulations as well as HACCP.
- Ensure strict compliance with Compass Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Programs, Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS regulations.

- Minimum five years Red Chef experience with a strong menu building background, menu software background, recipe development ability and five years of leadership experience.
- Knowledge of diet types and texture modification in healthcare.
- Creative ability to showcase new menu items at a Menufest and present new recipes at our LTC units.
- Passionate about quality and resident satisfaction.
- Very detail-oriented individual and a strong leader who is able to implement and teach new menu system and recipe software to LTC units.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong computer skills with proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel.
