Job Summary
The Vice President (VP), East Coast Catering (ECC) acts as the General Manager and senior leader accountable for the overall performance, strategy, and sustainability of the ECC business. Reporting directly to the President of ESS, this role holds full P&L accountability and is responsible for driving financial performance, operational excellence, client outcomes, growth, and long-term value creation across the ECC portfolio. This role has accountability for key client relationships, Indigenous joint-venture partnerships, government and industry engagement, and new business development. Leading a complex portfolio of remote and offshore operations, this role advances ECC’s culture, reputation, and growth agenda.

- General Manager Oversight
- Serve as General Manager for the ECC business with full accountability for financial performance, and long-term business health
- Establish and execute ECC’s strategic and operating plans
- Operational & Safety Leadership
- Provide executive oversight for operational performance, safety, quality, and service delivery; ensure strong governance, risk management, and compliance across remote and offshore operations
- Client, Contract & Partnership Leadership
- Own executive-level relationships with ECC’s most critical clients and partners
- Lead all major contract negotiations, renewals, extensions, rebids, and joint-venture agreements
- Indigenous & Joint-Venture Partnerships
- Provide executive leadership and stewardship of Indigenous partnerships and joint ventures, including board participation and governance oversight
- Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with Indigenous communities and partners
- Government & Industry Relations
- Act as senior representative in government relations, regulatory engagement, and industry advocacy
- Represent ECC with industry organizations (e.g., Energy NL) and at senior external forums
- Growth & New Business Development
- Drive ECC’s growth strategy, identifying and advancing new business opportunities
- Provide executive sponsorship for pursuits, partnerships, and market expansion initiatives
- Leadership & Talent
- Lead, coach, and develop the ECC senior leadership team, including RVP and functional leaders
- Set the tone for culture, values, and leadership expectations across the ECC organization

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Operations, or related field; Equivalent senior leadership experience considered.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience, including senior executive or general management accountability within complex, multi-site organizations.
- Must be based locally in Newfoundland or within the East Coast region
- Experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams, preferably in remote, offshore, or industrial service environments.
- Strong record of executive client leadership, contract negotiation, and partnership governance.
- Experience with Indigenous partnerships or joint ventures and/or government relations
- Track record of driving growth and new business development through strategic partnerships and market opportunities.
- Proven full P&L ownership, including financial planning, forecasting, and long-term business performance.
