Job Summary

How you will make an impact:
You will be responsible for overseeing production, leading a team, and maintaining facility operations within the unit.

As a Production Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise all H&S Meetings and co-ordinate Risk Assessment completion
  • Motivate and develop the Team Leaders by setting individual and departmental objectives to encourage the achievement of goals
  • Identify skills gaps and initiate recruitment and training as appropriate
  • Decide the daily departmental production plan with the Team Leaders & Planning department to achieve agreed service levels and outbound vehicle times
  • Communicate, cross functionally, to resolve operating problems and drive continuous process improvement across the department
  • Manage materials usage
  • Monitor and manage as appropriate, compliance with Compass policies, procedures, and specifications (including Technical, HR and Health & Safety policies) to achieve food safety standards, controlled and well-managed department
  • Plan all departmental labor usage to manage costs to agreed targets
  • Prepare and organize the departments for internal and external visitors, effectively promoting the site
  • Communicate any Engineering issues to ensure a timely resolution, enabling agreed maintenance and prevention & OEE targets.
  • Monitor and sustain site security and confidentiality at all times

 

About you:

  • Proven successful leadership of a production line or team
  • Knowledge and experience of Good Manufacturing Practice
  • Knowledge and experience of Best Management practice
  • Ability to obtain product knowledge
  • Effective written and verbal communication, as well as strong understanding of numbers and data
