Job Summary
Now, if you were to come on board as a Guest Ambassador, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
Event Coordination:
- Participate in final calls for signature events to understand requirements and expectations.
- Attend Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings to review details and flag potential facility, security, or logistical concerns.
- Attend daily pre-shift meetings.
- Perform room checks to confirm materials and setups align with event needs.
- Create and manage Teams chats with event organizers for real-time communication and assistance.
- Attend Post-Mortem meetings for events to gain an understanding on how to better execute day-of-events.
On-Site Support:
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for event organizers during all events.
- Conduct regular check-ins during meal periods to ensure client satisfaction.
- Act as the central liaison for FM (Facility Management), AV, and Culinary teams to address same-day complications, delegating tasks as needed.
Client and Team Relations:
- Build strong, lasting relationships with event organizers and guests at the academy.
- Foster collaboration and maintain strong connections with the BGIS team, GDI team, and Workplace Associate team.
Think you have what it takes to be our Guest Ambassador? We’re committed to hiring the best talent for the role. Here’s how we’ll know you are the best fit:
- You have 2+ years of experience in customer service or hospitality environments,
- You have outstanding attention to detail and enjoy creating and maintaining administrative and operational systems with an exceptional degree of accuracy.
- You regularly show initiative and drive, as a self-starter you’re confident in your ability to get the job done.
- You have an excellent track record in fast paced, deadline driven, high-volume and live production environments.
- You have strong technological abilities including Excel and expertise in the MS Office Suite, and the ability to adapt to learn a wide range of databases/CRM systems and web/virtual event platforms.
- You build strong business relationships with stakeholders, vendors, staff, and team members; you’ve got a strong ability to negotiate and resolve issues smoothly and effectively.
