How you will make an impact:
You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service at the counter and cashier station, accurately processing transactions, and ensuring marketplace shelves and displays remain clean, organized, and well-stocked.
As a Counter Person / Cashier / Stocker, you will:
· Welcome customers, assist with product inquiries, and provide friendly, efficient service
• Operate the POS system to process purchases, returns, and payments accurately
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the counter, checkout area, and marketplace displays
• Restock shelves, coolers, and displays to ensure products are well‑faced, organized, and available for customers
• Monitor product levels and communicate low stock, shortages, or replenishment needs to supervisors
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards when handling packaged foods or stocking supplies
• Support the flow of the marketplace by organizing products, rotating stock using FIFO, checking for damages/expiry dates, and maintaining a tidy storage area
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including count-ins/count-outs, cleaning tasks, and preparing the area for the next shift
• Contribute to quality and service improvements by offering suggestions, reporting issues, and helping maintain a clean, welcoming environment
About you:
Excellent customer service and communication skills Previous experience as a cashier, counter staff, or stocker is an asset Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, and ask for clarification when needed Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others Comfortable with physical work, including lifting, stocking, and standing for extended periods Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
