Salary Range: $57,800 to $77,100

Role Overview
We’re seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Catering & Event Sales and Guest Experience. This senior leadership role is pivotal in driving growth, building community relationships, establishing strategic partnerships and aligning local sales and marketing initiatives with Compass Group’s national strategy. You’ll oversee a team of four sales professionals, collaborate cross-functionally with operations, and spearhead marketing and social media efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership & Strategy Development to build catering and events sales
- Responsible for delivery exceptional client and guest experience from the sales process through event/delivery execution
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of 4 sales professionals.
- Drive revenue growth through strategic planning and performance management.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, market segments, and partnerships.
- Sell Lazy Gourmet’s full suite of catering services as tailored solutions that meet client objectives.
Business Development & Community Engagement
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, influencers, and organizations in the Vancouver community.
- Represent Lazy Gourmet at industry events, networking functions, and local initiatives to enhance brand visibility.
- Leverage Compass Group’s resources to initiate and manage strategic partnerships and customer relationships.
Marketing & Brand Management
- Oversee Lazy Gourmet’s marketing and social media strategy in alignment with Compass Group’s national marketing initiatives.
- Establish a client feedback process and set KPI’s to benchmark performance
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Operations and Culinary teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Partner with Compass Sales leadership on major initiatives, RFPs, and enterprise-level opportunities.
- Liaise with sales and marketing counterparts across our catering, venues and events division with a focus on synergies and growth opportunities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, sales leadership, and marketing—preferably in hospitality, catering, or food services.
- Strong consultative selling skills and ability to craft compelling service solutions.
- Experience managing and mentoring sales teams.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, digital marketing platforms, and proposal development.
- Strong network in the Vancouver marketplace an asset
