Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 / year

Job Summary
Join Bon Appétit Management Company—dedicated to Achieving Leadership in the Foodservice Industry—as an Assistant Operations Manager. We are seeking an energetic leader with an Ownership Mentality who takes initiative, solves problems independently, and delivers results without constant direction. You will assist in the successful operation of Dining Services, ensuring efficient, cost-effective management that exceeds client expectations across retail, catering, and pantry programs.
Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management: Oversee food service delivery across two buildings, including the Pantry and lounge programs. Pivot without losing momentum to address changing demands while ensuring strict adherence to HACCP, OSHA, and corporate safety standards.

Team Leadership: Collaborate effectively to recruit, hire, and train associates. Plan daily workflows, appraise performance, and foster a positive culture to support team goals.

Financial Control: Assist in managing the annual budget and P&L. Utilize company systems to complete accurate daily/weekly reports on inventory, cash, production records, and payroll.

Adaptability: Absorb new information quickly to drive quality improvement, sanitation, and infection control protocols in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:

Experience: 3-5 years of direct foodservice operational management experience required (inventory/purchasing focus). BS or AA degree preferred.

Competencies: Must be an Adaptable & Fast Learner, comfortable with change. Requires Strong Communication & Team Fit, with the ability to work well under pressure and communicate clearly with management, clients, and staff.

Technical Skills: Excellent financial and computational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and labor management systems.

Certifications: ServSafe Certification required.

Clearance: Must obtain and maintain property access requirements. (Rigorous site background/fingerprint process).

Language: Bilingual is preferred but not required.
