Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field.

· 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role preferred.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.).

· Excellent written, proofing, verbal, and presentation skills.

· Excellent project management skills and ability to multi-task. Includes effectively planning and managing the communication of initiatives from start to finish with internal and external stakeholders.

· Proficiency with popular content management systems.

· Experience with social media management.

· Creativity and the ability to develop original content.

· Ability to develop content that provokes engagement.

· Ability to track and readily share metrics related to all areas of responsibility.

· Extreme attention to detail.

· Self-directed and proactive.

· Works extremely well under pressure and adapts well to working with short deadlines and in tight turn-around situations.

· Readily accepts ownership and maintains a positive, supportive attitude with a “team” mentality.

Job Description

Position Overview: Content manager duties include producing and publishing content, writing, editing and proofreading, and formulating content strategies among other tasks. Content managers should be comfortable finding creative ways of building an online presence, as well as using analytics in the formulation of a content strategy. Content can be defined as multimedia articles, blog posts, images or videos that aid in fostering engagement online.

Responsibilities

Reports to: Sr. Dir of Marketing + Communications

Responsibilities:

· Generates content and story ideas—including sourcing, shaping, interviewing and writing/producing for internal and external platforms.

· Manages and organizes story archive and digital library of all photos, videos, white papers, case studies and articles.

· Responsible for leading content on internal communication channels including Company Intranet, weekly Company Newsletter and Internal Social Media Sites.

· Leads proactive award strategy and media outreach to trade and consumer publications to leverage our Subject Matter Experts and initiatives at the account level for the Company.

· Writing, editing and proofreading content for all client and prospect communications initiatives and campaigns.

· Research and evaluate segments, market behavior, trends and competitors to identify opportunities and stories.

· Conducts ongoing maintenance of distribution lists and user access on employee engagement applications.

· Ideate, plan, and maintain the content calendar—streamlining the content pipeline across multiple channels.

· Collaborate with other departments and key stakeholders in development of the content calendar, overlaying the Company’s business objectives and priorities.

· Moderate and respond to communication inbox, social media inboxes, online reviews, Google My Business, Glassdoor and other online platforms based on a response guide—escalating issues as needed.

· Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information.
