Job Summary

Recipe to Succeed: 

• Responsible for reviewing customer requests from the BEOs and providing equipment/assistance at the time and place necessary.  Knowledge of the property management system to pull the AV reports and to input information into BEOs is required. 

• Must have the ability to make immediate decisions in order to provide the client with an immediate solution without any downtime in client meetings

• Provide technical assistance for all meetings and customers that require tech services for their events.

• Must possess a working knowledge around integrated audiovisual systems.  Demonstrate a motivation to learn about repairing equipment and new/upcoming technologies.

• Able to change data projectors, lamps and cabling pieces associated with all the various integrated systems throughout the portfolio. 

• Review operation of equipment with customer and ensure that the customer is comfortable with its operation. 

• Offer assistance in operation of equipment and help solve problems if customer is unsure of requirements (i.e. recommending LCD projection instead of overhead).

• Educate the staff and customers on the basics of all AV equipment in the facility.

• Maintain metrics associated with room equipment inventory, room check inspections, preventative maintenance checks, and repairs/replacements completed in conference rooms

• Responsible for maintaining pars on all AV supplies and submitting requests for purchases to the Audio Visual Manager. These supplies include: flipchart paper, bulbs, batteries, etc.

• Assist team members with conference room set-ups, break downs and any other areas where they may need assistance in an effort towards total guest satisfaction.

• Responsible for keeping all the A/V storerooms organized and well managed. 

• Perform other duties assigned by management

• Ability to travel to and assist other conference/training centers when requested to do so.

Necessary Ingredients: 

• A Bachelor’s Degree preferred

• Minimum of 1 years work experience in an audio visual related position

• Basic knowledge of integrated AV systems, inclusive, but not limited to:  data projection, audio, video, Clear One, Extron, Webex, Cisco systems

• Advanced proficiency in MS applications – Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook.  Prior usage of Asset Management software a plus

• Membership & participation in professional organizations – will train for a CTS certification

• Superior quantitative, oral and written communications and problem-solving/strategizing skills

• Proactive mindset to anticipate and support changes in our business 

• Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior

• Exceptional customer service abilities

• This is a hands on job requiring both management skills and technical skills

• Ability to move conference room tables, chairs and lift 50 pounds as needed.
