PROJECT MANAGER - HOUSEKEEPING & FOOD SERVICES

** Details: Dynamic, solutions focused leader to support 15 hospital EVS & FNS accounts in Indianapolis & Northern Indiana (candidates must live in either Indianapolis or Northern IN); candidates must have director level experience at high profile/large account; System (multi-site) Director or GM level experience strongly desired; must be able to attend quarterly leadership meetings, be hands on, work on standardization, sit in on client meetings, etc; ability to communicate at all levels is key.  This position will not have any direct reports**

Job Summary

 

The Project Engineer is an experienced “operator without a portfolio” that is flexible for support assignments to prospective, new and existing accounts. As a support resource, the Project Engineer will be assigned by a senior leader (RVP/RDO/VPO) to conduct surveys of potential client facilities, assist on presentations, plan and execute start-ups of new business, audit and/or re-engineer existing accounts, train management or hourly personnel, or perform other operations, program development, teaching, research, or troubleshooting assignments. The Project Engineer must be knowledgeable, experienced and fully fluent in Environmental Services (Housekeeping) & Food and Nutrition Services programs. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Successfully builds relationships at all levels of the client, customer and Company organizations, specifically cultivating relationships with officer level clients
  • Manages multiple business goals and priorities in the best interest of the organization as measured by Client Satisfaction and Client Retention achievements
  • Works closely with the Company’s IS Department where/as needed; recommends changes or modifications to the system for consideration
  • Collects and analyzes facility data including, occupancy data etc., develops appropriate staffing levels based on industry standards, company benchmarking and personal experience
  • Identifies and addresses "hot spots" and program issues. Identifies and develops action plans for quality and service issues
  • Implements all TouchPoint programs according to any/all business proposals, Company standard and costing
  • Performs Operations Audits as needed
  • Provides support, training and recommendations to the on-site management team
  • Provides orientation and management training to existing and new management teams. This training will include system application and day-to-day management practices
  • At the discretion of the VPO, provides as needed support including payroll transitions, marketing/communications, operations, etc. in the area of support services for the Division and the Company
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; high school diploma/GED required
  • Must be willing to travel throughout Metro and Northern Indiana as business needs require
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that may, at times, include evenings/weekends/holidays or extended schedules such as 10 days on/4 days off
  • Must be willing to be very hands on manager and able to work with/relate to all levels of staff, managers and clients
  • Ideal candidate will have desire to grow into a Systems Director / Regional Director role within 2+ years
  • Five plus (5+) years' environmental services/housekeeping/food services management experience in a hospital / hotel / hospitality focused setting required
  • Must live in either Indianapolis or Northern Indiana
