Manager in Training - Customer Service, Canteen / Middletown, PA

 

  • We are now hiring for a Manager in Training - Customer Service position.
  • Location: 3201 Fulling Mill Road, Middletown, PA   Note: online applications accepted only.
  • Starting salary of $50000 during training, $1000 signing bonus after 90 days, bonus eligible (up to 10%) following program graduation
  • A company car will be given for required travels to local Canteen Micro-market operations.
  • Requirement: Hospitality and/or coffee background preferred but not required

YOU MAY HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree received by Summer 2021 or prior (required)
  • One year of customer service or hospitality work/internship experience
  • Willingness to relocate for the right role or advancement opportunity
  • Demonstrated financial acumen including profit and loss management, inventory, and cash handling skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally with peers, employees, clients, and customers
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Basic understanding of contract administration and client relations
  • Basic knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, safety, and marketing
  • Competency in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Driver’s License (preferred)

 

 

ABOUT THIS ROLE
MANAGER IN TRAINING

HOSPITALITY / CUSTOMER SERVICE

As a Manager in Training for Canteen, you will be assigned to a training location to complete the on-site, hands-on learning portion of your onboarding and training experience as you participate in Compass Group’s Accelerated Manager Program (AMP).  A Customer Service Manager with Canteen works closely with the current local customer base.  Their main concentration will be focused on account retention, upselling, client satisfaction, growing same-store-sales, and onboarding accounts with the sales team.  This role interacts closely with the General Manager and District Operations Manager running day-to-day operations.  Tactical and strategic-minded with good interpersonal skills.  Enjoys providing solutions to clients for a win-win scenario as well as networking and some limited client entertaining.  We are looking for a strong team player that wants to build a career with a dynamic and fast growing company.  Office Coffee, Route, Warehousing and/or Retail background is a plus. Upon successful completion of AMP, relocation within your assigned region may be required to be considered for placement opportunities. Placement or promotional opportunity to a full-time employment position upon completion of AMP is based upon your performance and business need and is not guaranteed.
