Job Summary

We are seeking a reputable Accountant for one of our multi-faceted high profile client locations.The unit accountant will work in a high-volume, multiple location food service operation with multiple levels of service such as fine dining to fast-casual to retail. 
Multi-unit accounting experience will be beneficial in this role and an understanding of union operations is a plus. This is a salaried management position, the hourly workforce at this location are unionized employees. 
This position will require a high-volume of data entry and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time. May be required to produce reporting and complete tasks at the request of multiple managers. 

The successful candidate should possess savvy business skills, be a highly motivated professional, with proven ability to establish excellent working relationships with various team members.
Accounting experience within the food service / hospitality industry is preferred. 

Additional responsibilities include but not limited to the following:


  • Responsible for all cash handling procedures

  • Perform reconciliation and analysis for balance sheet accounts

  • Analyze financial results for both internal and external use

  • Track and maintain monthly P/L and balance sheet activity

  • Review of general ledger and balance sheet

  •  Resolving various accounting/reconciliation issues

  •  Maintain inventory and cost control procedures

  • Performs related duties and special projects as assigned

  • Works with Regional Controllers and Accountants to research and resolve ledger discrepancies

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Accounting or Finance)
  • Two years Accounting Experience 
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Excel
  • Able to effectively communicate with all levels of associates
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment
  • Detail oriented team player with initiative. 
  • Working knowledge of SAP financial and/or Access
  • Previous Account Reconciliation software experience
