Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consistent, timely attendance and ready to assist customers at start time and throughout shift
  • Provide a warm welcome to all arriving guests (internal and external)
  • Make eye contact and acknowledge customers in line or waiting for requests
  • Professional, business appropriate communication delivery always both verbal and written
  • Avoid saying “no” offer options when requests are not available
  • Responsible for resolving issues, concerns to customer satisfaction
  • Answer all incoming calls within 3 rings
  • Request permission before placing customers on hold and wait for response before action
  • Announce customer and provide a brief description of needs before transferring or passing on customer
  • Support visiting and local customers with general services requests, including not limited to printing, directions, faxing, deliveries, access needs
  • Responsibilities include but not limited to ordering/stocking of supplies, meeting set up, catering, safety & security.
  • Maintain knowledge of room features, amenities, technology offerings
  • Proactively and politely engage with customers to ensure optimal space occupancy
  • Maintain current repository of local restaurants, services, hotels, transportation options and assist with requests
  • Capture and prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports data analysis as requested
  • Perform administrative duties according to location guidelines.
  • Other duties as requested/required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A genuine sense of hospitality, with a commitment to delivering the Platinum Service® Standard in all aspects of the Receptionist’s job.
  • Proficient in EMS and able to process space reservation requests (assign and confirm space).
  • Knowledge and ability to trouble shoot AV and technology features.
  • The ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and juggling many jobs simultaneously, while constantly interacting with visitors in a public environment.
  • Excellent listening and oral communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of office technology / equipment.
  • Punctual, dependable and dedicated to achieving operational excellence, down to the smallest of details.
  • Discreet, ethical and committed to maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
  • A consistently professional approach, with a mindset to take ownership and responsibility within and outside one’s job domain.
  • A high school graduate, with some college preferred.  Two to three years’ experience in a client service / reception position within a hospitality or corporate environment.
