Job Summary

The Director of Nutrition and Wellness directs and oversees all aspects of company nutrition programs and initiatives.  Guides company policy, promotions, team member training and communication materials as related to nutrition, in coordination with company team of regional dietitians.  Leads and directs the work of corporate and regional dietitians.  A wide degree of creativity, high level multi-tasking ability and excellent time management is expected. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all wellness aspects of company foodservice systems, including labeling, marketing, operations, training, menu and recipe development and client and customer relations
  • Oversee corporate and regional RDs, though travel and remote conferencing
  • Effectively communicate nutrition education information using a variety of platforms
  • Guide corporate and regional RDs to respond to customer nutrition inquiries and to present Lunch and Learn Lectures and Culinary Academy with knowledge, professionalism and enthusiasm
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with all company team members, both in the corporate offices and company account cafes and kitchens
  • Partner with client wellness counterparts to identify needs of clients, accounts and/or customers and develop unique wellness solutions
  • Develop and implement (with marketing department) National Nutrition Month promo and other wellness-based nutrition programs
  • Lead manager and team-member training as it relates to allergy awareness and wellness programs (with Training and Development Department)
  • Attend tabling events and lead CulinArt Culinary Academy lessons (children) and Lunch and Learns programs (adults) as needed
  • Participate in and support business development process as needed
  • Lead and coordinate company-wide sustainability initiatives
  • Calculate nutrition facts and maintain recipe database utilizing ESHA Genesis and Webtrition
  • Maintain in-depth and current knowledge of food and nutrition trends as it pertains to wellness
  • Represent CulinArt Group in state and national meetings, conferences, participation in nutrition organizations and networking


Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in dietetics, culinary nutrition, food & nutrition, food service management or related. 
  • Registered Dietitian in good standing with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, State Licensure where applicable
  • 5+ years of foodservice nutrition management experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Nutritional Analysis software such as ESHA Genesis, Webtrition a plus
  • Experience in public speaking, training and cooking demonstration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Proficiency in MS Office
