Job Summary

 

We are seeking an energetic Executive Chef to join our team in a resort style senior living community in Steamboat Springs, CO. $5,000 SIGN ON BONUS AND RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE!!!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implements and supports all culinary related programs to include resident dining , catering, retail and all other dining functions
  • Responsible for all food safety and sanitation programs
  • Full cycle  management , onboarding, training, development and growth of the culinary team
  • Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures as evidenced through local health department and third-party audits
  • Serves as liaison to dining and client leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.S. Degree in Culinary Arts, Food Services Technology/Management/or related field; or A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate and required experience
  • Minimum of three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training
  • High volume, complex foodservice operations experience - highly desirable
  • Fine dining restaurant, hotel or country club culinary experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Must be experienced with computers; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet
  • ServSafe certified - highly desirable
