EXECUTIVE CHEF

Bon Appetit at Whitman College, in Walla Walla Washington is currently looking for an Executive Chef to lead its culinary program. Having just completed renovations that include a market café, high volume coffee shop and a newly constructed 25,000 square foot food hall experience, we are looking for a passionate Chef who constantly strives to innovate their program. Additionally, the chef will direct the culinary piece of our well established catering component.

 

Walla Walla is a food and wine oasis in the corner of the state, featuring more than 120 wineries and many great local restaurants. Its energy and access to fantastic local, seasonal produce makes this community stand out. Whitman College is a well-respected, Liberal Arts school with approximately 1400 students founded in 1882.

Job Summary

Job Summary:

Working as an Executive Chef, you are responsible for overseeing all culinary functions for a corporate dining account.  You will manage and lead a team of associates and oversee all safety and sanitation as it pertains to the account. Additionally, as part of the culinary team, you will be responsible for the following: 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages cost controls and controls expenditures for the account
  • Plans and creates all menus
  • Purchases and manages inventory
  • Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with Eurest marketing and culinary team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Three to five years of culinary management experience
  • High volume production and catering experience is essential
  • Previous experience managing cost controls
  • Desire to learn and grow with a top notch foodservice company
