Job Summary
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Event Operations
- Oversee all catering event setup, execution, and breakdown in the Home Depot Backyard and other designated catering spaces.
- Ensure event spaces are set according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and event diagrams.
- Conduct pre-event walkthroughs to confirm readiness of equipment, décor, service stations, and food presentation.
- Monitor event flow to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot operational challenges in real time.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and direct catering service staff, including servers, bartenders, runners, and support team members.
- Lead pre-shift meetings to communicate event details, service expectations, and assignments.
- Ensure all associates arrive in proper uniform and follow company policies and service standards.
- Provide coaching and feedback to team members during and after events.
- Support managers with staffing needs and shift adjustments.
Guest Experience
- Ensure all guests receive professional, attentive, and hospitality-driven service.
- Respond to guest requests and resolve service concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a positive and energetic atmosphere during events.
Operational Compliance
- Ensure all team members follow food safety, alcohol service, and sanitation guidelines.
- Monitor compliance with venue security policies, credential requirements, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate event documentation and report operational issues to management.
Inventory & Equipment
- Ensure proper use and return of catering equipment and supplies.
- Monitor serviceware, linens, and beverage supplies throughout events.
- Assist with maintaining organized storage areas and equipment inventory.
