Job Summary
The FINANCE ANALYST (unit controller) will maintain and analyze accurate weekly and monthly KPIs and Management Information; assist the management team in the efficient running and improvement of the contract and ensure the delivery of budget/forecast targets. This position ensures company policies and procedures are being adhered to as they pertain to the accounting department.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Produce and review weekly reporting for the operational teams, assisting them in identifying areas requiring action.
• A strong understanding of Excel functions and formulas is a must.
• Executes day-to-day financial reporting responsibilities for multiple ACC units to include the review of financial data, aging, scorecard preparation and explanations, and various other financial and trending reports.
• Ensures the integrity of all financial data.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.
• Assist in the continual review of finance procedures and tasks working to automate tasks where possible
• Complete ad hoc analysis, reporting, and project requests as identified or assigned.
• Assist team with forecasting and budgeting.
• Collaborate with internal teams to research and guide accurate P&L management / Expense management / Internal Financials.
• Gather and prepare data to support analytics from a variety of data source types including databases, and internal systems
• Analyze and communicate financial and operational data to internal customers and leadership for decision-making and strategic planning.
• Drive process improvement by Identify inefficiencies, risks, and control gaps within financial processes, working with the Projects Team to implement improvements, including automation where appropriate.
• Contribute to the month-end accounting close
• Foster and build relationships with business partners within Technology and the overall Compass organization.
• Provide assistance with mid-year, interim, year-end, and committed audit deliverables
REQUIREMENTS
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Strong Excel skills required, Power Bi and SharePoint), preferred
• Produce financial reports in a clear and concise manner for financial and non-financial personnel
• B.S. degree in Accounting / Finance, preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance or operational support at unit
• Experience with SAP or other large ERP preferred
• Experience delivering presentations to Sr. Management and department customer
