Job Summary
Morrison Healthcare is seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Chef II to lead culinary operations at one of our premier healthcare accounts. As a key culinary leader, you will be responsible for driving excellence in food preparation, staff training, recipe compliance, and overall kitchen efficiency — while ensuring adherence to regulatory and safety standards, especially Jayco/TJC compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and inspire the culinary team to execute high-quality, nutritious meals aligned with Morrison and Compass Group standards
· Train and develop kitchen staff in food preparation, presentation, sanitation, and safety best practices
· Drive culinary innovation while maintaining recipe consistency and standardization
· Ensure strict compliance with Jayco/TJC standards, food safety, and sanitation guidelines
· Oversee daily kitchen operations including menu planning, inventory, and ordering
· Collaborate with the Division Culinary team to implement strategic initiatives and offer onsite culinary support
· Deliver outstanding customer service and create a positive dining experience for patients, guests, and staff
· Maintain all necessary records and documentation to meet internal audits and external inspections
· Monitor kitchen efficiency and cost control while upholding quality and service excellence
Qualifications:
· Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
· Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a high-volume culinary leadership role, preferably in healthcare or hospitality
· Strong understanding of Jayco/TJC compliance, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations
· Proven leadership and team management skills
· Knowledge of Compass Group and Morrison Healthcare culinary policies and procedures is a plus
· Creative and solution-oriented mindset with a commitment to excellence in food service
· ServSafe Certification required.
· Excellent inventory management and budgeting skills.
