Starting Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour. This is not a tipped position.
Schedule: Part time event-based schedule. Open availability preferred. Must be able to work mornings, evenings, and weekends. Must be able to work all Hawks home games.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of culinary experience, with strong catering, banquet, or large event experience preferred. At least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role is preferred. The candidate should have experience executing catered events, working with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and managing prep and production for events. Experience working in hotels, catering companies, banquet facilities, or high-volume event venues is strongly preferred. The candidate must be able to lead a team in a fast-paced, event-driven environment while maintaining food quality, presentation, and food safety standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of culinary experience
- Minimum 1 year of catering, banquet, or large event experience strongly preferred
- Previous supervisory or lead experience in a kitchen preferred
- Experience working with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) preferred
- Experience in hotels, catering companies, banquet facilities, or event venues preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, event-driven environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Job Summary
Summary: The Catering Culinary Supervisor is responsible for overseeing culinary operations for catered events at State Farm Arena, including catering, suites, and other special events. This position supervises culinary team members, assists with event prep and production, and ensures food is prepared and presented according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). This role plays a key part in ensuring events are executed on time, with quality and presentation standards met, in a high-volume sports and entertainment environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise culinary team during catering and banquet events
- Oversee event prep, production, and execution
- Ensure all food is prepared according to BEOs (Banquet Event Orders)
- Ensure timing, presentation, and portioning standards are met
- Assist with prep lists and production schedules for events
- Work closely with Catering Managers and Chefs to execute events
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed
- Assist with inventory, ordering, and product organization
- Help train and coach culinary team members
- Assist with event setup and breakdown
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen
- Support large-scale events including Atlanta Hawks games, concerts, and special events
- Performs other duties as assigned.
