Culinary Supervisor (Prep) - State Farm Arena/Levy Restaurants
Starting Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour. This is not a tipped position.
Schedule: Part time event-based schedule. Open availability preferred. Must be able to work mornings, evenings, and weekends. Must be able to work all Hawks home games.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of culinary experience in a high-volume kitchen with strong prep and production experience. At least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role preferred. The candidate should have experience with prep lists, batch cooking, knife skills, and production planning. Experience with inventory, ordering, and kitchen organization is preferred. The candidate must be able to lead a prep team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining food quality, organization, and food safety standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of culinary experience in a high-volume kitchen
- Previous prep, production, or commissary kitchen experience preferred
- Previous supervisory or lead experience in a kitchen preferred
- Strong knife skills and food preparation skills
- Experience with prep lists, batch cooking, and production planning
- Experience with inventory, ordering, and product organization preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lead and organize a prep team in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask and meet prep deadlines for events and service
Job Summary
Job Summary: The Culinary Prep Supervisor is responsible for leading the prep and production team in a high-volume kitchen at State Farm Arena. This position oversees food preparation, batch cooking, and production planning to ensure all culinary areas are prepared for Atlanta Hawks games, concerts, and special events. The Prep Supervisor will lead team members, manage prep lists and pars, and ensure organization and food safety standards are maintained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise prep team members and daily food preparation
- Oversee completion of prep lists and production schedules
- Assist with batch cooking, food preparation, and ingredient prep
- Ensure all kitchens are properly prepped and stocked for service and events
- Maintain organization of walk-ins, freezers, and dry storage areas
- Assist with inventory, ordering, and product pars
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are followed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient prep area
- Train and coach prep team members
- Ensure all recipes, portioning, and food quality standards are followed
- Assist with receiving and product organization as needed
- Support restaurant, catering, and concession kitchens as needed for events
- Help ensure the kitchen is prepared for high-volume service during games, concerts, and special even
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
