Culinary Supervisor (Premium Supervisor) - State Farm Arena/Levy Restaurants
Starting Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour. This is not a tipped position.
Schedule: Part time event-based schedule. Open availability preferred. Must be able to work mornings, evenings, and weekends. Must be able to work all Hawks home games.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of culinary experience in a high-volume kitchen, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role preferred. The candidate should have strong line experience, prep and production experience, and the ability to lead a team during high-volume service. Experience working in restaurants, hotels, sports and entertainment venues, or large-scale kitchens is preferred. The candidate must be able to lead a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining food quality, consistency, and food safety standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of culinary experience in a high-volume kitchen environment
- Previous supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant, hotel, premium dining, or club environment preferred
- Strong line experience, plating, and food presentation experience
- Experience with prep, production, and service execution in a high-volume environment
- Experience working in restaurants, hotels, sports and entertainment venues, or private clubs preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong leadership and team supervision skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead a team during service
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Job Summary
Summary: The Culinary Supervisor over Premium Clubs is responsible fo supervises culinary team members, assists with food production and service, and ensures food quality, presentation, and consistency standards are met. The Premium Club Culinary Supervisor plays a key leadership role in delivering a high-quality dining experience for guests in a fast-paced sports and entertainment environment during Atlanta Hawks games, concerts, and special events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Trains employees; plans, assigns and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines associates; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
- Advises management of purchasing requirements with a focus on minimizing waste and avoiding product shortages.
- Uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
- Operates and cleans equipment in accordance with department procedures after each use.
- Stores, labels and dates food items according to policy; maintains established food rotations in storage in order to minimize spoilage and waste.
- Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
- Operates food-service equipment in a safe manner and according to established policies and procedures.
- Helps serves meals; remains present during scheduled meal periods to receive customer comments and feedback.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
