Job Summary
Summary: The Kitchen Warehouse Supervsior is responsible for managing all kitchen storerooms, coolers, and freezers while ensuring accurate inventory levels, proper food rotation, and timely ordering of products. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced culinary environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all kitchen warehouses, storerooms, coolers, and freezer areas.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and stock levels.
- Oversee food and supply ordering to ensure proper product availability.
- Monitor and maintain proper product rotation using FIFO methods.
- Ensure all products are properly labeled, stored, and organized.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and assist with monthly inventory reporting.
- Maintain accurate email communication regarding orders, deliveries, shortages, and inventory updates.
- Receive and inspect deliveries for quality, accuracy, and damage.
- Coordinate stock movement and distribution to kitchen operations.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards in all storage areas.
- Work closely with chefs and culinary leadership to support operational needs.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting products as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, inventory, or foodservice storage experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Basic computer and email proficiency required.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and product rotation practices.
- Ability to multitask and work in a high-volume environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Must be willing and able to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy products and equipment - 50lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer environments.
