Hourly Junior Sous Chef - State Farm Arena/Levy Restaurants
Starting Rate: $19.00 per hour. This is not tipped position.
Schedule: Part time schedule; event based. Afternoon, nights, and weekends availability preferred. This is a seasonal position scheduled to run from October through April 2026. The duration of employment may be extended depending on the Atlanta Hawks’ playoff schedule.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in high-volume or upscale enviornments. Basic understanding of culinary techniques including grilling, sauteing, roasting, and knife skills. Familiarity with food safety and sanitation procedures.

- Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and prep list accurately
- Understand of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of food prep, plating, kitchen safety, and sanitation
- Strong work ethic, organization, and attention to detail
- Willingness to grow into a leadership role; prior supervisor experience is a plus
- Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds
Job Summary
Summary: The Owner’s Lounge Sous Chef plays a key role in supporting the Executive Chef in leading the culinary operations for the Hawks Owners Lounge and VIP clients during home games. This position is responsible for creating and executing seasonal menus, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation, and maintaining Levy’s high standards of hospitality. It’s an exciting opportunity for a creative and driven chef to gain leadership experience while curating elevated dining experiences in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards. Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders.
- Helps supervise and train cooks, kitchen staff, providing direction during service.
- Stores food in designated areas following all corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures.
- Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils. Cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving area. Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service to comply with all sanitation, safety, production and merchandising requirements.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling and rotation of ingredients and prepared foods
- Demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to associates and customers.
- Keeps up with peak production and service hours.
- Monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies. Tracks product production, consumption and waste. Informs supervisor when supplies or product are low.
- Performs other duties as assigned
