Salary:  $95,000 - $110,000

Other Forms of Compensation: Annual Bonus Incentive up to 20%

Job Summary

Join us as a Resident District Manager (RDM) leading all aspects of a large multi-unit dining K12 account located in the Austin, Texas area. You'll be the primary liaison and business authority for the client, leading your team to operational success while encouraging strong client relationships and upholding our mission to nourish students.

Your responsibilities include:
•    Leading, managing, and motivating a diverse team to deliver outstanding service to the client, students, and community.
•    Driving team development and building client relationships to achieve key performance indicators.
•    Participating in district leadership and peer collaboration to share best practices and mitigate risks.
•    Making strategic decisions with input from the team, ensuring alignment with short and long-term goals.
•    Encouraging a culture of transparency, education, safety, and accountability.
•    Representing Chartwells at client and community events as a brand ambassador.
•    Ensuring client needs are met, identifying cross-sell opportunities, and supporting the rebid process.
•    Supporting operational functions including safety, marketing, nutrition, and culinary.
•    Ensuring compliance with regulations and completing required reporting accurately and on time.
•    Developing team members through performance evaluations and succession planning.
•    Leading financial results and budgeting processes accurately.
•    Coordinating policies and procedures consistently and fairly.
•    Performing other duties as assigned to support efficient operation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in specific majors/areas of concentration, per **USDA Professional Standards. 

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent educational experience, with academic major in **specific areas.
OR Bachelor’s degree in any academic major, and State recognized certificate for school nutrition directors. 
OR Bachelor’s degree in any academic major and at least 5 years experience in management of school nutrition programs.
**Specific majors/areas of concentration: food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's degree and minimum of three (3) years of management experience in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business.
•    Strong background in foodservice management with shown success.
•    Leadership experience, excellent communication, and financial competence.
•    Proven initiative, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
•    Proactive, inclusive, professional, and resilient demeanor.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and POS software.

**Occasional travel required.**
