Job Summary

Summary:  As an Hourly Sous Chef at Boise Athletic Club, you will play a key leadership role within the culinary team, supporting the execution of high-quality food while maintaining Levy’s standards for safety, sanitation, and hospitality. Working alongside the Executive Chef and culinary leadership team, you will help oversee kitchen operations, guide culinary team members, and ensure efficient service during events and daily operations. Your leadership and culinary expertise help deliver exceptional dining experiences for every guest. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist culinary leadership with daily kitchen operations and food preperations
  • Support and guide culinary team members including cooks and dishwashers
  • Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
  • Monitor food safety preparation, cooking, and plating during service
  • Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workspaces
  • Help coordinate food production to ensure timely service during events
  • Assist with inventory management, production rotation (FIFO), and stock organization
  • Monitor product levels and communicate ordering needs to culinary leadership
  • Support training of culinary team members on kitchen procedures and safety standards

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Previous culinary or kitchen leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitationk practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
  • Strong teamwork, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended pariods and lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize during busy service periods
  • Must obtain valid Food Handlers or Manager Food Safety Certificate
