Job Summary

Wolfgang Puck Catering is excited to launch a new specialty coffee operation within a premier technology account location in Boulder, Colorado. As our Coffee Bar Manager, you will play a key role in establishing and leading this new business from the ground up, creating an exceptional guest experience while fostering a positive and engaging team environment.
 
This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on hospitality leader who enjoys building relationships, developing talent, and driving operational excellence. As the first Wolfgang Puck Catering coffee bar operation in Colorado, you'll help shape the local presence of our brand while partnering with Apple and creating a welcoming destination for guests and team members alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of a high-volume specialty coffee and espresso bar.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and support a team of approximately four associates, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and service excellence.
  • Ensure consistent preparation and presentation of coffee, espresso, and specialty beverage offerings.
  • Oversee coffee equipment operation, maintenance, and vendor relationships to ensure operational reliability.
  • Manage inventory levels, product ordering, receiving, and storage while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
  • Monitor labor scheduling and staffing plans to support service needs and financial objectives.
  • Track business performance, analyze operating results, and implement improvements that enhance both guest experience and profitability.
  • Build strong relationships with Apple leadership, guests, vendors, and local community partners.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance operations, elevate service, and support long-term business success.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience managing a specialty coffee, café, espresso bar, or similar foodservice operation.
  • Knowledge of espresso preparation, coffee equipment operation, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.
  • Experience with inventory management, purchasing, ordering processes, and cost controls.
  • Financial and business acumen, including labor management, budgeting, and performance analysis.
  • Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing teams in a hospitality, retail, or foodservice environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and manage competing priorities with limited oversight.
  • Familiarity with the Boulder market and surrounding community is valued.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and cultivating an inclusive team culture.
