Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Patient Services Manager to lead our Patient Services team within a 150-bed community hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for a team of 20+ associates, including hiring, training, coaching, and ongoing development
- Oversee daily operations of patient food services, ensuring alignment with clinical direction and patient population needs
- Establish service goals and drive execution to deliver a high-quality patient dining experience
- Ensure compliance with dietary restrictions and modified diets, aligning with physician orders while accommodating patient preferences
- Monitor and improve patient satisfaction scores, holding the team accountable to service standards
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, including federal and state regulations, accrediting bodies, HIPAA, and patient rights policies
- Participate in and lead initiatives related to patient satisfaction, departmental collaboration, and Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs
Schedule & Structure
- Monday–Friday schedule with one weekend shift per month
- Responsibility for a 150-bed acute care facility
- Direct oversight of 20+ team members
Qualifications
- Associate degree with at least 1 year of experience in food service or a related field OR a bachelor’s degree in food service management, nutrition, or related discipline
- Certification as a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Registered Diet Technician (DTR), or Registered Dietitian (RD) preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of food service management experience, ideally in an acute care environment
- ServSafe® certification preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, and diet office systems
