Location: Remote overseeing 7-8 accounts in New England
Salary: $145,000 - $155,000
Other Forms of Compensation: Bonus Eligible

Job Summary
As a District Manager (DM), you will lead a cross-functional team and manage multiple accounts within your territory. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, achieving financial goals, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring compliance with all regulations while fostering community support and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and inspire a team of Resident District Managers and/or Directors of Dining Services to deliver outstanding service.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, driving team engagement and achievement of critical metrics (profitability, safety, customer satisfaction, etc.).
- Serve as a representative and brand ambassador for Chartwells Higher Education at client and community events.
- Participate in regional leadership discussions, sharing best practices, mitigating risks, and championing diversity and inclusion.
- Oversee multiple accounts in your territory, balancing risk/reward and short-/long-term decision-making impacts.
- Partner with Sales, Retention, and Finance teams on proposals, proformas, and retention strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, quality assurance, and policy standards; conduct audits and recommend improvements.
- Own P&L performance for the district, including reporting, forecasting, and budgeting accuracy.
- Drive team development through coaching, performance evaluations, succession planning, and skill-building at both single- and multi-unit levels.
- Ensure consistent and fair administration of all company policies and procedures.
- Deliver required reports in alignment with company policy and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or at least 5 years of progressive multi-unit leadership experience in food service, hospitality management, support services, or related industries.
- Strong leadership background with experience in contract/budget management, customer service, food services, negotiations, and people development.
- Proven ability to grow business with solid financial and business acumen.
- Skilled in strategic, analytical, and critical thinking.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and client relationship skills.
- Proactive, professional, flexible, resilient, and committed to an inclusive leadership style.
- Highly organized with strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively.
