Position Summary

Join the Bearcat Dining marketing team as a Marketing Intern (Dining Ambassador) and help bring dining to life across campus! In this role, you’ll create engaging content, promote events, and connect with students through authentic, peer-to-peer marketing experiences.

 

You’ll play a key role in shaping how students experience dining - from social media and video content to on-campus activations and events.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support content creation for Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms
  • Assist with planning, promoting, and executing dining events
  • Support tabling and peer-to-peer engagement across campus
  • Capture photo/video content at events and daily dining moments
  • Help maintain website updates and marketing materials
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on campaigns and promotions
  • Represent campus dining in a positive, energetic, and student-focused way

Preferred Qualifications

  • Passion for social media, content creation, and campus life
  • Comfortable being on camera and interacting with peers
  • Strong communication and creative skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Experience with Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
  • Preferred but not required: Marketing, Communications, Media, Hospitality, or related major

 

 

Work Details

  • Flexible schedule (typically 10–20 hours/week)
  • Some evening and weekend availability required for events
  • On-campus student position

 

 

Student Ambassador/Content Creator Learning Objectives

  • Develop a professional content portfolio by planning, capturing, and editing weekly photo and video content for our socials that aligns with our dining brand guidelines. 
  • Understand how to maintain brand consistency across multiple marketing channels, including print, digital, and face-to-face interactions. 
  • Learn to use social media analytics to measure student engagement and adjust content strategies based on performance data. 
  • Build professional collaboration skills by participating in marketing meetings, contributing campaign ideas, and meeting project deadlines. 
  • Gain hands-on experience in event management by assisting with the planning, promotion, and execution of major dining events. 

 

This is a paid intern position; however, it is not eligible for paid time off (PTO) or benefits such as medical, dental, vision, etc.

Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease). Any such periods during which you do not perform work on the Company’s behalf may be unpaid and deemed a temporary layoff.
