Position Summary

Join the Bearcat Dining marketing team as a Graphic Design Intern and help bring dining to life through creative visuals and branding! In this role, you’ll design eye-catching graphics, support marketing campaigns, and help visually communicate dining programs across campus.

 

 

You’ll play a key role in shaping the look and feel of campus dining—from digital content and social media graphics to event signage and promotions.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design graphics for social media, digital screens, and print materials
  • Create marketing assets for events, promotions, and campaigns
  • Maintain brand consistency across all materials
  • Assist with event branding, signage, and promotional collateral
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on creative concepts and campaigns
  • Support updates to website and digital platforms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
  • Strong eye for design, layout, and branding
  • Creativity and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Basic photography or video editing skills are a plus
  • Preferred but not required: Design, Art, Media, Marketing, or related major

 

 

Work Details

  • Flexible schedule (typically 10–20 hours/week)
  • On-campus student position

 

 

Graphic Design Learning Objectives

  • Apply classroom concepts to real-world marketing campaigns to promote brand awareness and storytelling. 
  • Learn to apply marketing fundamentals such as brand identity, campaign strategy, and visual storytelling to graphic design projects. 
  • Enhance proficiency in design platforms (Adobe suite, Canva, etc.) by producing high-quality visuals according to brand guidelines for marketing campaigns. 
  • Build professional collaboration skills by participating in marketing meetings, contributing campaign ideas, and meeting project deadlines. 

 

This is a paid intern position; however, it is not eligible for paid time off (PTO) or benefits such as medical, dental, vision, etc.

Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease). Any such periods during which you do not perform work on the Company’s behalf may be unpaid and deemed a temporary layoff. However, depending on business needs, you may be required to work year-round, potentially at a different location during break periods.  Business needs may vary from year to year.
