Job Summary

The Barback Lead supports the Beverage Department front of the house positions and provides general direction and supervision to the Barbacks.


Service
• Reviews Banquet Event Orders (BEO) and checks BEO at beginning of each shift for last minute changes, special set-ups and event notes. 
• Verifies service set ups leaving bar room match BEO specifications.
• Assigns Barbacks to set-up, distribute, replenish and break-down the bars. 
• Pushes bar fronts, product tables and china tables into their designated locations.
• Sets up and stocks bar fronts and accessories tables, included but not limited to linens, glassware, ice and products, according to Levy Standards.
• Maintains level of product and supplies for bar services throughout event.
• Ensures liquor room and refrigeration areas and equipment work properly; and timely communicates any malfunctions or need for repair to management.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of bar room, coolers, liquor room, ice machines. all bar areas, bar set ups and storage areas including deep cleaning in accordance to daily, weekly, monthly sanitation checklist.
• Checks expiration date of open bottles and discards expired product
• Breaks down and puts away product and supplies in their respected locations, ensures open bottles are dated and areas are secured.
• Performs equipment inventory as needed.
• Completes checks lists (Sanitation checklist, temp logs, etc) are complete throughout the shift.
• Communicates challenges and relevant information to management.
• Delivers exceptional service.
• Acts with a sense of urgency with respect to guest and event needs.

 

Controls
• Employs good safety and sanitation practices in order to prevent hazards including but not limited to, slips, trips, falls and burns, and reports injuries, unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions to management. Contacts Public Safety and management in the event of emergencies.
• Adheres to company guidelines, policies and property rules.
• Follows responsible alcohol service policies.
• Thoroughly completes all responsibilities and assignments and checks out with management at end of shift.

 

Team
• Displays a positive attitude.
• Assists others when necessary and/or requested.

 

Qualifications
• Walks and stands throughout entire shift.
• Lifts and transports items weighing up to 65 lbs.
• Pushes and pulls carts, racks and product weighing up to 250 lbs. 
• Reads, speaks, writes and comprehends English.
