Job Summary

FISD is seeking a dedicated Retail Manager to oversee the successful operation of six retail and cafeteria outlets at IMG Academy, a premier sports training and education destination. Reporting to the Director of Dining Services, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of retail foodservice management—including staffing, customer service, inventory, and financial performance. This role requires availability for nights, weekends, and holidays to support a dynamic campus schedule.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of multiple retail and cafeteria outlets, ensuring a consistent, high-quality dining experience.
  • Plan and supervise special functions, maintaining excellent service standards and financial controls.
  • Manage hiring, training, scheduling, and performance of hourly team members.
  • Maintain accurate cash controls, payroll records, and inventory management systems.
  • Oversee ordering and inventory processes to ensure product availability, minimize waste, and control costs.
  • Direct staff in executing retail services according to Compass Group policies, food safety standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Train team members on customer service, portioning, point-of-sale systems, and food safety/sanitation protocols.
  • Complete and submit all required operational reports (daily, weekly, monthly) on time.
  • Ensure strong communication and collaboration across internal teams, guests, and stakeholders.
  • Uphold corporate policies for cash handling, safety, and loss prevention.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1–3 years of experience in retail or concessions management, preferably in high-volume or campus environments.
  • Proven success in inventory management, purchasing, and cost control.
  • Strong knowledge of foodservice operations, catering trends, sanitation, and marketing.
  • P&L accountability experience and contract-managed services background is desirable.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to engage across all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, POS systems, and web-based inventory software.
  • ServSafe certification is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Foodservice Management, Hospitality, or a related field; or Associate's degree plus 3 years of related experience.
