About Us:

Pratt Dining, operated by Chartwells Higher Education, is dedicated to delivering an exceptional campus dining experience through creativity, collaboration, and student engagement. We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Marketing Intern to join our team and help us connect more meaningfully with the Pratt community. 

 

Position Overview:

As a Marketing Intern, you’ll work directly with the on-site Marketing Manager to bring our dining program to life across campus. From social media to special events, you'll play a hands-on role in creating memorable, student-centered experiences that drive engagement, awareness, and sales. This is a dynamic, on-campus position ideal for students who are outgoing, creative, and excited to make an impact at Pratt. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media & Content Creation:

  • Develop and manage a content calendar across Instagram and other platforms Assist with photography, video creation, and editing for daily posts Capture behind-the-scenes moments in our kitchens and dining venues

 

Event Marketing & Campus Engagement:

  • Support the planning and execution of on-campus events including themed dinners, pop-ups, and sampling activations
  • Promote meal plans, limited-time offers, and retail specials through tabling and direct outreach 
  • Engage with students at events to gather feedback and promote participation

 

Market Research & Strategy: 

  • Identify trends and student interests to help guide future campaigns
  • Brainstorm and pitch fresh ideas to the marketing team
  • Assist with associate engagement initiatives to boost team morale and culture 

 

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Creative and outgoing — not afraid to speak up or start a conversation 
  • Passionate about marketing, events, food, and storytelling
  • Strong written and visual communication skills
  • Comfortable using (or willing to learn) tools like Canva, Instagram Reels, and basic photo/video editing software
  • A collaborative team player who also takes initiative and works independently
  • Preferred: Sophomore or Junior standing (but open to all students with relevant experience or interest)

Job Summary

This position is paid, but not eligible for benefits such as medical, relocation, or housing.

 

Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease). Any such periods during which you do not perform work on the Company’s behalf may be unpaid and deemed a temporary layoff. However, depending on business needs, you may be required to work year-round, potentially at a different location during break periods.  Business needs may vary from year to year.
