Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven District General Manager to lead a large, multi-site refreshment services operation. This highly visible leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement across the district. The successful candidate will oversee approximately 100 associates through a multi-level leadership structure, including two direct-report managers.

The ideal candidate is an experienced people leader with a proven track record managing large teams, developing leaders, and driving business results in foodservice, refreshment services, vending, distribution, logistics, hospitality, retail, or other operationally focused industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership for district operations, ensuring achievement of financial, operational, and customer service objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a multi-level management team responsible for approximately 100 associates.
  • Drive district profitability through effective P&L management, cost controls, and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and implement action plans to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures across all locations.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, serving as a key point of contact for major accounts and escalated issues.
  • Partner with sales and operations teams to support account retention, growth, and new business implementations.
  • Lead workforce planning, succession planning, talent development, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that enhance service, productivity, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and leadership teams to support performance management, labor relations, and organizational goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and leadership experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive operations leadership experience with responsibility for multiple locations, departments, or business units.
  • Proven experience leading large teams through multiple layers of management.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, P&Ls, and performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop leaders, drive accountability, and improve operational performance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in foodservice, refreshment services, vending, logistics, distribution, hospitality, retail, or related industries preferred.
  • Labor relations or union experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
